Method
The fact that we have had our own research department since 1984 makes us unique on the Swedish market. Our own research and surveys are the foundation of the three-stage process of our method: Observe, Consult and Navigate. In the first stage of the process, Observe, we carry out the market research that is analysed in stage two, Consult. The analyses then become the finely honed instruments used in the next stage, Navigate, in which our client's future direction is indicated. Put simply: we start by surveying the terrain. We then draw the maps. Finally, we point out the direction. The client decides whether to use the method in its entirety or in part.
Observe
Our research department has the leading edge competence to perform research: quantitative, qualitative or via desk research. We work with everything from telephone interviews and online ratings to focus groups, in-depth interviews and mystery shopping. The research produces results that include satisfied customer indexes, quality ratings, market forecasts or our annual Household and IT buses - quantitative research that measures the ownership and use of IT in households and business. Based on the experience gained since 1984, we ask the questions that produce the most reliable research results on the markets of today and tomorrow.
Consult
Our analysts and consultants analyse the research results. These analyses form the basis for the client's decisions on strategies, product launches, business models, etc. The analyses also provide a basis for market-oriented project management and consultancy work at the client's. Over the years, Stelacon's consultants have brought to fruition several successful products and services. We are also very experienced in working with government bodies, departments, and other official bodies in Sweden, and have all the necessary regulatory and legal competence in the field of IT/telecommunications. In addition, the Stelacon Research Library - containing market data, studies and analyses from as far back as 1984 - provides a unique source of background material for studying and analysing the future.
Navigate
The research and analyses resulting from the first two stages are then used in the third and final stage, Navigate, to draw the conclusions that give us the cutting edge expertise necessary to understand the IT/telecom market of the future. Which is why there are people at Stelacon who can act, shortterm or long-term, as product managers or strategic advisors at the client's company. These people and their expertise are, and have been, crucial in successful product launches and licence applications concerning technologies of the future, such as 3G/UMTS and FWA/BWA.
